Organize vault items with folders

Learn how to add folders to your documents.

How do I add a folder for my documents?

While on the Documents screen, choose the + Add icon near the bottom right side of the screen. On a mobile device, this will be a simple blue + icon. Select Add Folder to create the folder and then enter a name for your folder in the provided text box. Choose Save to complete the folder creation process or Cancel to return to Documents.

To add a subfolder, select the parent folder, and then select the blue + Add icon. Choose Add Folder, enter your folder name and choose Save.

How to bulk move files?

From the Documents screen, find the document you would like to move into a folder. Choose the three-dot symbol in the upper-right corner of the document and select Move. Choose the folder you would like to move the document to and select Move Here, or choose Cancel to return to your documents.
If you wish, you can also move entire folders and their contents to other folders in your vault. Additionally, you can perform a bulk move by selecting multiple items and then choosing the Bulk Move icon to move all selected items at once.

How do I add documents to a folder?

From the Documents screen, find the document you would like to move into a folder. Choose the three-dot symbol in the upper-right hand corner of the document and select Move. Choose the folder that you would like to move the document to and select Move Here or Cancel to return to your documents.

If you wish, you can also move entire folders and their contents to other folders in your vault.

Is it possible to sort folders?

Currently, folders will appear first and then any documents that exist in the vault. Folders will also be in alphabetical order.

How do I rename a folder?

Find the folder that you would like to rename. Choose the three-dot symbol in the upper-right hand corner of the folder card. From the drop-down menu, select Rename to open the text modal that will allow you to change the name of the folder.

When you’ve completed renaming the folder, choose Save to finish and save the new name or Cancel to return to the documents screen.

Is it possible to delete a folder?

Yes! Navigate to the folder that you would like to delete. Choose the three-dot symbol in the upper-right hand corner of the folder card. From the drop-down menu, select Delete to open the confirmation modal. Choose Delete to remove the folder or Cancel to return to your documents. Once you select Delete you will see a confirmation banner that the task was completed. Note: only empty folders can be deleted. Move or delete any documents contained within the folder first before deleting.
