Readiness & Readiness Scores

A step-by-step checklist to ensure you, your family, and your trusted contacts are prepared for any life scenario, from emergency planning and childcare to digital estate preparation.

What is Readiness?

Readiness scenarios guide you through gathering and organizing the essential documents, contacts, and assets you need for specific situations. Instead of guessing what to add, each scenario provides a curated checklist tailored to your needs.

Who Can View and Manage Readiness?

Managing items and scenarios under readiness are only visible and available for Vault Owners and Co-Owners.

Invited users cannot see your Readiness dashboard or scenario checklists directly; they only see the specific items you choose to share with them.

How do Readiness Scenarios Work?

Each scenario is divided into two sections:

Essential Items: The core documents, assets, and details required to be fundamentally prepared.

Be Prepared for Anything: Additional recommended items that add extra coverage and peace of mind.

Scenario Statuses & Readiness Score

As you add items and share scenarios, your scenario moves through four progress milestones:

Not Started - No progress has been made yet. No items have been added under Essential Items.

Getting There - You've taken the first step by adding at least one item under Essential Items.

Prepared - Comprehensive coverage achieved. You’ve added all Essential Items and at least one item under Be Prepared for Anything.

Ready for Anything - Fully prepared and shared. Reach Prepared status and share the scenario with at least one trusted contact.

Adding items under "Be prepared for anything" alone will not advance your status if your Essential Items checklist is empty.

Your Overall Readiness Score

Your vault dashboard displays an Overall Readiness Score. This score increases each time a scenario reaches either the Prepared or Ready for Anything milestone.

Adding and Managing Items

Adding Items

  • You can add brand-new documents/assets directly from the scenario checklist or add items that already exist in your vault.

  • Selecting any item opens its detailed view where you can view or edit files and notes.

Removing Items

Removing an item from a scenario simply unlinks it from that checklist (and its corresponding Collection). The item remains safely stored in your vault and is not deleted.

Deleting from Vault

If you permanently delete an asset from your vault, your Readiness checklist and score will automatically update.

Multi- Pet and Multi-Child Scenarios (e.g., "In Good Hands")

  • Adding a child or pet automatically creates dedicated placeholders for their specific records (e.g., health insurance, medication list, veterinary contacts).

  • On Limited / Essentials plans, dependent sub-items are consolidated into single unified rows for simplified entry.

Sharing a Readiness Scenario

Sharing an entire scenario is the fastest way to give trusted contacts access to everything they need in an emergency.

How Scenario Sharing Works:

  • When you share a scenario with an invited contact, they will see all the scenario’s items on their personal dashboard as individual shared items. They will not see your internal readiness score or scenario.

  • Access granted through a scenario is managed directly from the scenario itself.

  • On an individual item's Sharing tab, a person with scenario-based access will show as selected with the status: "Item access is managed by Readiness".

  • To revoke a contact's access to items shared via a scenario, simply remove them from the scenario.
