Changing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

You may want to change your MFA method if you switch phones, switch authenticator apps, or decide to use a different authentication option

Updated today

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) adds an extra layer of security to your vault. It verifies your identity by requiring more than just your password—such as an authenticator app or an SMS code. Even if someone manages to steal or guess your password, MFA helps ensure your vault stays protected.

Reminder: You must be able to log in to your vault to change your MFA method. If you are unable to log in to Prisidio, please contact Prisidio Support.

Changing Multi-Factor Authentication

  1. Log in to your vault and access your account settings by selecting your avatar (or initials).

  2. Select Manage My Account.

  3. Choose Login and Security.

  4. Select Multi-Factor Authentication and choose Reset Authentication Method.

  5. At the confirmation modal, choose Reset MFA Method.

  6. A pop-up window will appear. Use your Prisidio credentials to authenticate your request.

  7. Select Enroll New MFA Method.

  8. Choose and configure your new authentication method. You can choose to use the Auth0 Guardian App, any other commonly accepted authenticator app, or text.

  9. Once completed, you will be prompted to use your new authentication method on your next login.

If you reset your authentication method, but do not successfully reconfigure your new authentication method, you will be required to do so upon your next login to Prisidio.
