What is Apple In-App Purchase (IAP)?
Apple In-App Purchase (IAP) gives you a simple, secure way to subscribe to Prisidio right from the iOS app. With IAP, your subscription is tied to your Apple ID, so all billing, renewals, and payment updates are managed through Apple. This means you can use the same payment methods you already have set up with Apple—like credit cards, Apple Pay, or PayPal—and manage everything in one place. It’s a convenient option if you prefer to keep all your app subscriptions under your Apple account.
Who can purchase Prisidio using Apple In-App Purchase (IAP)?
Apple In-App Purchase is available on iOS devices (not Android) and only while you’re on a free trial. You can sign up for a free trial of Prisidio here.
How much does Prisidio cost through Apple?
Through Apple, you can subscribe to Prisidio for $16 per month or $150 per year. These are the standard rates, and partner or discounted pricing isn’t available with Apple In-App Purchase.
How do I subscribe using Apple In-App Purchase?
When you’re on a free trial and logged into the Prisidio app on your iPhone, you can subscribe in two ways:
From the dashboard banner, tap Upgrade today → Plan and Billing → Upgrade Plan
-Or-
Go to Manage My Account → Plan and Billing → Upgrade Plan
After selecting Upgrade Plan, choose either a yearly or monthly plan, then tap Pay with Apple.
From there, you’ll go through Apple’s standard iOS purchase flow to complete your subscription purchase.
If you instead choose Pay with Credit Card, you’ll need to enter your card details. This payment method is managed by Prisidio and billed through our secure payment system.
How do I manage my payment method for Apple IAP?
Apple manages your billing information. Here are the steps to update your billing info:
Open the Settings app.
Tap your name/Apple ID.
Select Payment & Shipping, you may need to enter your Apple ID password.
Add, remove, or update your payment methods.
Apple will use the payment method you’ve saved here for Prisidio.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel anytime from your iPhone:
1. Open the Settings app.
2. Tap your name/Apple ID.
3. Go to Subscriptions.
4. Select Prisidio and tap Cancel Subscription.
Your subscription will stay active until the end of your billing cycle. For more information you can visit: Apple Support.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes, you can change your plan anytime in your iPhone’s subscription settings.
From your iPhone:
Open the Settings app.
Tap your name/Apple ID.
Go to Subscriptions.
Select Prisidio and modify your plan.
Apple manages all of your billing, so if you switch plans, any adjustments (like prorated charges or credits) are handled by Apple.
How can I request a refund?
Refunds for Apple purchases are handled directly by Apple. If you cancel, you’ll still have access until the end of your billing cycle. If you’d like to request a refund, go to: Apple Support.
Can I restore a previous purchase?
No, restoring Prisidio from a previous IAP purchase isn’t supported.
