What are the supported document file types?
Prisidio supports the following document file types:
DOCUMENT | .doc, .docm, .docx, .dot, .dotm, .dotx, .htm, .html, .msg, .pdf, .rtf, .txt, .wpd, .xhtml, .xps |
IMAGE | .bmp, .gif, .heic, .jpg, .jpeg, .png, .tif, .tiff |
PRESENTATION | .pot, .potx, .pps, .ppt, .pptm, .pptx |
SPREADSHEET | .csv, .xls, .xlsm, .xlsx |
Documents with password protection, image macros, or other special formatting will be unable to display a preview image.
What are the document file size limitations?
Prisidio supports the following document file sizes:
Maximum File Size | 90 MB |
Recommended File Size | 5 MB or less |
Maximum # of Pages | 2,000 pages or less |
Note : Previews or thumbnails of some .pdf files may not render properly depending on how the document was created, scanned, or formatted. This means that an image of the document will not be displayed. This is most commonly caused by high-resolution scans, specialized formatting, or when a .pdf includes certain security features. In these cases, the file remains secure and intact even if a preview is not available.
If a document does not preview correctly in the Prisidio web app, it may still be viewable in the Prisidio mobile app.
As an alternative, you may also use the Prisidio mobile app’s built-in scanner function to scan the document directly into your vault, which helps ensure the document is formatted for optimal viewing.
